How do you get sleeping tablets onto a flight to avoid jetlag?
9
March 15th, 2011UncategorizedI am flying from London to Los Angeles in the New Year. I have never flown this far before and really don't want to spend the first few days of my holiday feeling crap. I have been told to drink lots of water and to take sleeping tablets on the flight and sleep as much as I can. But surely if I 'borrow' a few tablets from a friend, how do I convince the customs officials that I am not a drug smuggler, and avoid a painful internal examination?

Prescription tabs may leave you really groggy when you arrive. Why not use something mild like Tylenol pm if you feel you need helo to sleep on the flight? If you do not usually take sleeping pills, you probably do not need anything powerful .

I strongly suggest you see your GP and don't take any ones medication its not only stupid its dangerous

It is a bit risky taking some one elses medication on a flight. If they were yours and in a container labelled with your name on it you would have no problems. Go see your doctor and get him to prescribe you something.

why don't you get your own Dr. to prescribe you some? If pill bottle has your name on, no worries.
else: take all the pills you borrow, while you are on the flight -

You can buy something called Melatonin from the health stores or on line, I used it when I went to Australia earlier this year, I slept like a log and arrived refreshed, your allowed to take it on board in your hand luggage.

Don't take someone else's medication; you don't know how you'll react.
You can get a prescription from your doctor, or just use something over the counter like Tylenol PM.

Take it easy. Dont resort to anty medication unless our Doctor recommends. It is always fine if you dont worry in advance

hey stop being fussy about your travel. enjoy it, watch movies on board, listen music, take a nap and without you realising, you will be asked to fasten your belt for Los angeles landing. please don't take any tablets or stuff. they make your condition worse.
