    You don’t really question sleep until you are not getting enough of it. 

    The biggest cause of insomnia is stress.  People are just so busy nowadays struggling work, family and everyday responsibilities.  Demands are higher.  Chances are that you are always on the go and there isn’t much time for quiet time or what I call “me” time.

    The key to solving your sleep problem is finding the cause (stress, bad diet, a noisy bedroom environment)  If you really want to find ways to cure insomnia, you need to be persistent.  Don’t give up if the first few things you try don’t work.  Yoga can really help with relaxation and shutting the mind off.  Look at your diet and lifestyle also.

    Injury, poor performance and depression are just a few of the results insomnia

    You know how rotten you feel after a few bad nights of not enough sleep.

    The best ways to cure insomnia are

    * Get a routine – Try going to bed and getting up at the same time each day or nearly the same time each day.  Your body needs a starting point and a finishing point

    * Restrict your sleep.  This may sound odd but there is no point in being in bed if you can’t sleep.  Your mind needs to associate the bed with rest and relaxation.  Laying in bed trying to force it can make the insomnia worse.  Get into bed when you are really tired.  If you can’t sleep, get out of bed, go into another room and do something calming like listening to relaxing music, reading or doing relaxation exercises.

    Twenty minutes before bed, enjoy a banana and a hot, milky drink and do 15 minutes of yoga
